Who Did? Who Suffered? Who Enjoyed? Poem by Sasikala Kamandula

Who Did? Who Suffered? Who Enjoyed?

Legs took the body into the garden; they didn't eat.
Eyes saw the mango; but they didn't eat.
Hands plucked the mango; but they didn't eat.
Mouth didn't pluck the mango; but it did eat.
Back got whack: The whole body suffered!
*. *. *. *
Who did? Who enjoyed?
Legs took the body to the temple; they didn't pray.
Eyes saw God; they didn't utter a sound,
Hands got folded; they didn't utter a sound.
Mouth Praised God.
The whole body was happy and sound safe!
Who did? Who enjoyed?
