Who cares?
What the doctor says about my health
The priest about my religion
The Guru about my meditation
The prof about my education
My employer about my job
My friends about my attitude
Who cares if I am literate or illiterate?
Enlightened or unenlightened
Well-read or ignorant
Does it matter?
When I am thrilled NOW
NOW is the only time
That exists
Tomorrow its extension
Yesterday
The NOW forgotten or remembered
Amnesia
Well, so who cares?
What my children say about their father
My wife about her husband,
My mother about her son,
My sister about her brother
My brother about his brother,
My neighbours about their neighbour
My colleagues about their colleague
Does it matter?
When I am thrilled NOW.
Who cares?
If they have landed on the moon
Or on Nevada desert
If the earth is flat or round
A cube or an ellipse
If there is life before death
Or if it is a mockery
What does it matter?
When I am thrilled NOW.
Who cares?
If I am lonely or with people
If the president is real or fake
If he is soulless or spirited
If nukes exist
Or if they are only bluffing to scare
If they war today or tomorrow
If God loves or hates me
It makes no difference
When I am thrilled now
Who cares?
If my IQ is negative or goes over the roof
Who cares if I am right or wrong, polite or rude?
Who is to tell?
If I am poor or rich
A beggar or a king
When I am thrilled NOW
Just by being here
Deep in silence
All thoughts gone
In a bliss
Who cares?
If the world map is real or a hoax
If they reduced the size to make me smaller
If most of the stuff they taught me at school is a lie
If God lives in Africa or in the Vatican
What does it matter?
When I am thrilled now.
Who cares?
If the bishop is a gay, straight a celibate or a paedophile
If Jesus and Mary were white or black
If my life has been recurring for millions of years
Or if it is a one-time show
A bubble in the ocean
Does it really matter?
When I am thrilled NOW.
Who cares?
If a tree trembles in fear
When the sword is drawn
Or if it begs for mercy
If the hunted animal
Craves for a revenge
It makes no change
When I am thrilled NOW
NOW is the only time
When existence expires
Into deep silence
When nothing matters
