Nice use of repeating those end-words. This really does have that tough-love feeling about it, and the opening lines are great; they could be the opening for so many different themes. S x

I enjoyed this poem. My favourite part was the third paragraph.

Well now, there is no mistaking this piece, nor the voice of reasoning.... after I take a deep breath I will say... the thought to this is well placed in the words you have chosen and I do hope that it would only be that as a poem..(not a personal thing) yet it stricks a cord on many levels.... And many ideas.... nicly done

Excellent poem Shelley, that is the best approach, tough love approach. Sometimes that exactly what is needed to make these people realize what they are doing not only to themselves but to their family and friends. No more enabling that's the way it should be. Fantastic Shelley--Melvina--
