Interesting and thought-provoking write, especially like the last stanza which is very philosophical. Great write Sandra.
Sandra, I think you really do have great compassion and humanity. I have been thinking lately about people and their lives. Everyone has problems, sadness, disappointments, and many people have really tragic or extremely difficult lives. And yet, I wonder how many would say that they wish they have never lived? Your poem echoes Jesus words on his sermon on the mount, right? Here are some of them in a modern translation: Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them. Happy are those who mourn, since they will be comforted. Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth. These are not empty words, otherwise Jesus would be a liar. So we need to 1. Fill our spiritual need with the right stuff 2. Understand what the Kingdom of God is, and what it isn't 3. Find out what it means to be 'mild-tempered' or meek, and what it means to 'inherit the earth'. Jesus also said, with God all things are possible.
