Yet, I find that Nwunye anyi' means "Our Wife". Do these ancient African tribes practice polygamy? Or is it just a male chauvinistique derogatory remark on a young girl?
Hello Menon, Ancient African tribes practised polygamy and polygamy is still practised in Modern Day Africa. With or without polygamy, the term is used to address the females young or old, single or married depending on the situation that leads to the remark.
