Wow! Why I have been stricken by worldly fame That turns me into a devil's tame. I think that maybe fame and power are the hardest things to ressist. We can fight pain, hunger, or draught, but fame? Oh that could melt our soul into a proud mass of emptiness, the home of loveless...I have not read the book but I have found so many things to nod, your poem surely made me think and feel more than I'd do on a mere day. Thank you!
a great question but one hard to answer. we are from many journey to what we are today. good write
who am I? ? ? ? ? I've thousands of reasons but ne'er an answer! ! ! ! ! ! Good poem! ! ! !
I tell you, you are what you are for others to stand for what you stand for, confusion of oneself takes you to the world of wisemen
confusion about ones self that grew out of glum and distress is obvious...pessimistic tones are on high and have saddened the heart...a good piece of writing over all.
Hmmmmm a question of which most of us try to answer but never succeed, man, a blend of good and evil, God and devil, there is always a struggle inside between these two forces, very good write

Walking near to water surface, looked down, another you below your feet, stand staring you.. dont believe it, its not your soul inside the water, its a mirror like mirage in the desert Feel what life has give in your own body, then you will know which side is true as you_Soul
I enjoy yor poem coz d way u employ familiar famous names, don quixote n all else to construct yor poem is commendable. Hey n u write frm d point of view of a woman dats incredible.
You looked into yourself and saw what you dont wanted see? That happens with all of us. And remember we have God and Devil inside us. You are a Poet and a human soul.
Do you know who you are? Khalil Gibran's reply to the question was, do YOU know who you are! ! ! i heard it from someone and don't remember the source...Man is a complex creature, and when he is by himself in the quest of his real self then he gets to know his real self and Quixotic schemes, this journey within is strange, we can introduce ourselves to others but on the other hand, we have no answer for our own satisfaction.
Why I have been stricken by worldly fame That turns me into a devil's tame.complex mind''s enigma, indeed moving poem, self examining activity is like to built a castle of sand, tough to construct, easy to fall. But only sensible people have an approach to this type of analysis, congrats u r one of them.
This is a very powerful write Gulsher.... In few lines you have conveyed your existential angst! ! The poem ends with a weighty interrogation! ! At times we wonder if man is an angelic soul or Lucifer's lamb! !
