from my online research re Haiku, i'd say haiku is always supposed to be on a Nature topic. but people started writing 'haiku' about people (who i consider part of Nature) and now there is Senryu, sometimes called Human Haiku. i like swans, though i've never had one as a friend, and i like the poem. bri (:
