White Shoes Poem by michael Smajda

White Shoes

To the little girl wearing those
Funny looking white shoes,
I want to thank you
For stopping by that day.
It just so happened
You found me very lonely.
But you cheered me up
Seeing you, merrily, skipping my way.
I'm sorry if I forgot your name.
Though the games we played
Not one did you lose.
However, I will always treasure
Time spent with you little girl
Wearing those funny looking white shoes.
