I cry with this. So tragic a subject, so poetically written. Numbers do not justify. I bow to you. Jim

Sandra...Your poetic repertoire is vast, and your literary chalice, a plethora of artistic pour. This is a most sadly beautiful memorial/dedication. A true Poet pens from both mind & heart....Your artistry, does all that....but, then settles within the mind's & heart's of the reader.Poignant, and passionate write, young lass! ~ F j R ~ (((2008)))

Sandra, I must admit that this one brought a tear to my eye, yet it left a smile on my face. I've been reading your other poems. I don't think I know of anyone who writes poems using nature as well as you.

I see beautiful smiles upon his face as he quietly rocks on his hobby horse. His work on earth here was done and now he rides his hobby horse having lots of eternal fun. I will always love your poems Sandra. Melvina

One little boy, unknown to me, has broken my heart. He doesn't need that lantern in heaven, he never passed through any darkness. Can't you hear the hobby horse rocking, and see him riding it? Forever. xxxElysabeth

This poem captures the spirit of the little boy in the simply expression of his death. You use colours so evocatively - the blue of the 'blues' and the white of purity to enhance a poem that must have been such a comfort to your friend in her loss. Every reader must weep with her. love, Allie xxxx

This exquisite poem brought tears to my eyes. The cadence of the poem is perfect for the imagery and subject matter of the poem.

strictly speaking so difficult for a poem to evoke loss in real way that does not sound fake this poem reaches into the heart grabs hold and squeezes out reverence the words so pure and clean with sorrow a fine poem
