Whispers Of The Campus Poem by chifuniro mgunda

Whispers Of The Campus

I should be proud
Of the shadows I faced in silence,
Of the nights when I crumbled,
Only to piece myself back together by dawn.
Falling didn't break me; it shaped me.
I am a warrior,
Not by some loud, heroic design,
But by the quiet defiance
That kept me walking when the road turned rough.
Yeah, I've stumbled.
Made mistakes-Who hasn't?
Most of the time,
That quiet force within—my soul's compass—
Has been my North Star.
It whispered truths when the world grew loud,
Guided me through fog and doubt,
Even when the map was blurred.
Still, here I am,
Somewhere between lost and alive.
Maybe that's the whole point of the journey—
To embrace the questions,
To let the detours teach me.
So I'll do myself a favor today.
I'll stop, breathe, and celebrate
The strength that carried me here.
Because falling isn't failure,
And lost isn't forever.
For now, I'll trust the guy inside—
He's been right before,
And I'll bet he'll lead me home again.
