Where Eternity Whispers
I walked where time and echoes blend,
Through hallowed doors where dreamers wend.
Shakespeare's breath still stirred the air,
A childhood wish fulfilled in prayer.
Within the courtyard, bathed in light,
A statue stood in marble white.
Tagore, in wisdom calm and deep,
Watched as the winds of memory weep.
'Where the mind is without fear, ' he sang,
As Shakespeare's voice in silence rang.
Two souls entwined in golden streams,
Their verses wove my waking dreams.
The air was laced with whispered lore,
A mystic pulse forevermore.
Beyond the walls, beyond the veils,
Beyond life's fleeting joys and trails.
No border held, no shadow stayed,
No sorrow dared, no fear betrayed.
For in that sacred, boundless sea,
I touched the heart of poetry.
