very sad but true, passage of life.

A sad story of cold, cruel crime yet evidence of an eagle mentality that triumphs over tribulation.

Thank you Hazel and warmly congratulate you to reach the milestone of 100 and I wish you surpass so many of them successfully. It's a lovely poem with three phases,1) the beautiful spread memory of love between two of them in their early days.2) Then suddenly the rejection and deserting her leaving gift in her womb (so sad) and 3) still the baby remembering her her father, dead, though he did not recognize her...... Beautiful detailing.

This poem, I feel is the best example of the sweetness and blessings of forgiving love! Of the three characters figuring in the poem, the reigning queen is the daughter! Despite the total rejection and disregard of her father, she is confident, happy and free of any bitterness and forgives her father.... A great poem in nice diction.....a trophy you can proudly flaunt to mark the great occasion of winning a century. Let more and more great poems flow from your pen...Hazel!

First of all let me heartily congratulate you on scoring a century. This surely is a great landmark. I hope and pray that you will conquer may such landmark in the days to come. Coming back to the poem, it is very heartening to see that the daughter of that heartless yet unfortunate father has a heart of gold and her love for her father overflows in the form of tears. A wonderful poem woven around harsh vagaries of life. Here, let me also take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Very Happy Easter Sunday. May the remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ usher in happiness and warmth all around.

Congratulations on your 100th poem Hazel. This well written piece captivated me. The storyline could be from your amazing imagination, on the other hand could well be true. It's a sweet/bitter tale that has, probably, over time been played out countless times in one way or another. Some lovely touches in this poem Hazel............... Like her inner child was running free, ...................Her love for her father is her tears. Two of my favourites.
