The powerful facets of love are immaculately expressed! My favorite lines: Come close, love, as these hungry emerald eyes/Beg to stare into your warm, black diamond eyes…A great piece of poetry!

So deeply sad and encompassing grief, touching heart and soul - and reading this presents us with a portrait of how we ourselves will eventually lie in sleep -eternal sleep.

Such a powerful poem. Your words brought such vivid imagery to the moment you described. I could especially appreciate the honesty in the line, Handshakes of pestilence acknowledge unknown faces. Beautiful and heartbreaking.
