valerie, i like the cradle for my mind. i liked this one more than youth long lost (next poem) , but they both seemed a little bleak.....i mean they sounded like coming from an unsatisfied soul. i hope that is how you wanted them to sound. not that there is anything wrong with the subject matter; i've had similar feelings at times i suppose. thanks for sharing. bri

That final haven, of course, is where we shall lie while the world keeps turning for eternity. A most beautiful poem, Valerie, at last a poet who can write in rhyme and meter. So rare these days! Love it!

Lovely poem Val. Maybe the haven is in the words of this poem and their beautiful symbolism.

A powerful rendering from your golden plume ther' missy! I like this Val..It's deep and substanceful..Love this style of poetics..You Do Rock, ! And, I...after 38 hours without sleep, must retire to my chamberless chambers for at least some form of a catnap, as opposed to catnip...And I don't even own a cat, so how the 'ell am I gonna git' nipped by a cat in my chamberless chambers....Am I delerious or what? ..Convinced? Me too...nite-nite~FjR~

Perhaps that haven is a poets mind, brimmed to overflowing with calm and grace and beauty, that is forever showing and with a feather hand will always write and share a sanctury of knowing.

When reading your poetry I think of Bryon, Keats or Shelley, poets of the romantic era. After struggling with my envy, I must say- on P. H. it dosen't get any better then here. Don't stop
