Where Time Threads the Eyes
By William He
Lens blinks through the stream of light,
The lashes quiver,
The beauty fades out.
The jade is locked, a quiet smile stays.
It breathes a scentless bloom,
Like the liquefied light it runs,
Through fissures carved by age.
To capture now each fleeting frame,
Like missed shots in slow retreat even.
Mist clouds the screen; the tears still speak.
The silken strands sweep,
Splitting truth from shape,
Stealing what lives, then stitching it shut.
