Where It Glitters Poem by Adams King

Where It Glitters

Rating: 2.5

Silver and gold a lady must have
I never saw love as a necessity
I will be any Man's better half
Who have enough wealth for me

She said, put no blame on me
I love it where it glitters
Grow no feelings for me
Only to money do i surrender

Not all that glitters are gold
Some are diamond or silver
For them I will have love sold
and have nothing put asunder

In here are the roots of all evil
For I'm the love of money
In this boat of life i solely paddle
stormy is a love without money

I'll rather be a rich Man's unloved wife
Than be a poor Man's request
Its punishable to be poor in life
To be in need i greatly detest

I will sell Christ for shekels of silver
and trade God if i can
We surely love it where it glitters
Such is the nature of every human
