It is hard to describe the pain we feel for those poor refugees. Let us who believe in humanity make every effort to alleviate their suffering. It is a heart-wrenching plea from a very fine poet
Thank you poet Tom Billsborough for your kind words. We should never forget that we are humans first. Country or nations come next.We should not remain blind to the sufferings of innocent people and do our small effort to alleviate their sufferings. It is heartwarming that poets world wide voice their concern about the refugee problems and I feel that their voice does not go vain.
Thank you revered Poets Robert Murray Smith, Akhtar Jawadji, Bri Edwards, Khairul Ahsanji, Sri Kumaramani Mahakul ji and Glen Kappy for your valuable opinions that speak of your humane and kind heart. Yes, Poets work for world peace in their own way and I have full faith that their works help to make the world a better place.
the feeling of this one, this prayer, bharati, is familiar to me. technology makes us aware of tragedy far away, and what are we to do with this knowledge? like you, i pray. my daily one is Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. and i, like you i expect, help, give, to address some of the hurt. perhaps you know the saying, i'd rather light one candle than curse the darkness? comfort to your tender heart, bharati. -glen
You have made here a heart touching inscription on humanity. I quote..... Did a separate God create these people? Is God a German or Jew? Is God a Muslim or Hindu? Is God. Black or white? To which race does He belong? Beautiful poem.
No religion condones killing innocent people just because of their religion or race. We are to blame ourselves for the excesses we do in the name of religion, and shall have to atone for it today or tomorrow.
(cont.) ...partly for the reasons given in the poem for your questions, I NO LONGER BELIEVE THERE IS A GOD, NO MATTER ITS COLOR, ETHNICITY, RELIGION, GENDER, OR SEXUAL OR POLITICAL 'LEANINGS'! ! ! ! MAYBE you could proofread a bit more? to MyPoemList nonetheless. thanks for sharing. bri ;)
They may be wiped: OR whipped? for What these innocent people have done i suggest What have these innocent people done ;) A person may be BOTH German and a Jew. many were, and probably some are still left, not all having been exterminated or having fled to other countries. check this line: Is God. Black or white? .....i KNOW PH HAS messed up the poem some, as it has been doing recently (this year) . (continued) ...
Oh God, Jew or German, Hindu, Muslim or Christian, Black or white, Please, Please, save the Mankind. A nice universal message appealing all.
Humanity, kindness and empathy are the basic principles of all major religions of the world. But people and countries often go to war and kill people in the name of protecting religion.
Bharati, a wonderful poem. There is little humanity in national borders and religions. We want to keep others out through self-interest.+++10 Robert
and GOD SPEAKS O human i gave you a brain if you can't use it flush it down the drain I won't be able to create a human like you again so in your own cocoons you may remain..lovely thoughts coming from a humane person to save humanity
Thank you The Poet Poet.It is really painful to see when man kills man in the name of race or religion.
God will save man very soon, though at the moment the wicked flourish, there is a reason why wickedness has been permitted until now, your poem touches my heart, how man can devour each other is horrifying to me and sometimes relegion is sadly the reason
