As a friend and darling I do you hold,
my heartfelt feelings I cannot pretend,
it's as if nothing can these feelings rend
as if for me it has been long foretold.

You act in a way that is new and old,
I try a new relationship and not to mend,
where greatness that we had did a time end
and maybe right here I am acting bold.

I know you have been given by God-divine,
where something brand-new with me do begin
and no one knows what this life has in-store,
nothing can a body and spirit confine,
our feelings are obvious and not locked-in,
where I want to be with you forevermore.
