Where His Love Lies Poem by Prabalta Rijal

Where His Love Lies

Rating: 5.0

The sun's all bright
and the birds are taking flight
with my note of plight

Oh dear birds, fly,
fly to the north
Where my sweetheart lies
Don't linger on here
Sing him this tune
And let him know
I love him too

He has been alone
for far too long
lead him home
oh mighty winds

Stir up a breeze
with the scents of spring
plant him a kiss
and give him bliss

Now my pretty rain
pitter patter is the game
shower him with love
and let the sun shine through
to form a pretty rainbow
for him to slide through

Oh, dear moon
do soothe his wounds
embrace him tight
with all your might
let him feel my touch
in your enchanting light

Flush his pain away
Oh dear God
hold him in faith
don't let his spirit die
and guide him home
to where his love lies

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem on one of those nights when I was home alone, with my newly born child. As I watched her sleep, I wrote this poem down in my notebook. It was a silent cloudless night, with stars shining above us, as if trying to talk to me...
