Brilliant presentation. Beautiful poem. It is justified for selecting as the poem of the day.

No, I don’t like this poem which for me ruins the original, cited below: Where'er you Walk by Handel, libretto by William Congreve ~ my favorite os sung by tenor Kenneth McKellar. The lyrics are in the repeated lines below, 'said' to Semele by Jupiter... Where'er you walk, cool gales shall fan the glade; Trees, where you sit, shall crowd into a shade. Where'er you tread, the blushing flow'rs shall rise, And all things flourish where'er you turn your eyes.

Oops, I meant is sung - I know links are not permitted, but hopefully those who wish can search on YouTube for the splendid rendering as follows... WHERE'ER YOU WALK (Kenneth McKellar - tenor) by Handel. [.youtube.com/watch? v=TXYklp3CuOQ ] It is my favorite 'theme' for the summer heat. Check it out...

nice stormy night scenery........ mad under the lamp post, street mad not a poem writer or not a poet but speak something like duet wanderer - wayfarer rail station to another junction in smiling, in laughing, blabbering, in reproaching in snaring- wild eyes or fiery sight stinky tattered cloths- under the naked sky floating on the edge of zebra crossing under the storm sit by the side of dog the stale face fold up into the self lap and a life on the street or mad.....

Oh! Yes! ! ! This is that thing called Literature and this is how to say I love you. After plowing courageously through the classic poet of the day, this was such pure unalloyed delight and I am going to read it again!

Sweeping and delightfully radiant, a poem of love that leaves the ordinary behind. A gift from a truly poetic romantic.
