Where Are You, Hope? (Sonnet) Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Where Are You, Hope? (Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

I ponder the past, deciphering Time:
The moment is gone; the magic is lost;
The heart has bled; tears have washed the sublime:
No miracle left: —haunted by a ghost!
You asked me to kneel, to beg for your love:
Felt agony running my veins—despair!
You showed me the stars; your love was a dove: —
How could I have seen? —Blindfolded, I, then!
Where are you, Hope? —Where is the light you hide?
The morning sunrise reminds me of you:
What I would not give to feel you alive…
Spreading your light and gazing in eyes blue!
Passing through the day, not feeling you bold,
The darkness of night is shutting me cold.

What I would not give to feel you alive! Spreading your light, embracing my side; Passing through day, not feeling you bold, The darkness of night is shutting me cold..........nice expression and touching concluding. Beautiful poem shared. Thanks.
