Where Are You, Dad? Poem by Tork Souad Diana

Where Are You, Dad?

Rating: 5.0

When the first ray gleams
It's a new day so it seems
As I wait for you to call my name
My heart beats fast, it's hard to tame.

Waiting and waiting to hear your voice
My soul's aching, but I have no choice
As I slowly crawl out from my bed
You then appear in my head...

And as I run into your room
Your smile, your laugh to see soon
I see the sheets so white and lonely
Without you, dad, it's all too empty..
