Having heard so many of his songs in Hindi I can definitely say translation doesn’t even come close to original. Ph should try to put some in Hindi.
The character of Hindi and Urdu poetry is vastly different from English poetry. The kind of concepts, poetic run, and construction are quite different. What sounds very beautiful in Hindi doesn't sound so in English.
translated poetry loses its original sheen, stability we all hanker for love in its nascent form hope you shall dwell a bit more and say what life makes one remain silent as another laughs his life away o great poet do say
'' I told my heart, Oh Heart, why do you cry? [..] This deep silence…the world has distributed it to everyone, '' 'Ho detto al mio cuore, O Cuore, perché piangi? [..] Questo profondo silenzio.. il mondo lo ha distribuito ad ognuno, '

Beautiful poem. though this is part of everybody's life. Yet the heart always cries out for some solace.
