When Your Days Are Done. Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

When Your Days Are Done.

When death arrives, don't hide in dread,
Don't let your heart be filled with lead.
Let not your spirit shrink and cower,
Because your ending's drawing power.

Instead, lift up your voice and sing,
Of all the joys that life did bring.
Remember laughter, love, and light,
And face the coming endless night.

Stand tall and brave, without a sigh,
As if a hero you now die.
For death is just a journey home,
No longer here, no more to roam.
