When you look at me,
I see something far more evolved
than anything I've ever stumbled across
in the mind-portals of anyone else.
When your eyes
memorize my being,
I see no other soul,
for their eyes are far less determined
than those which have developed you.
The early-morning gleam
which disappears as the sun sleeps
allows me the inevitable comfort
of looking deep into those eyes without fearing judgment.
When a smile elopes
on your precious face,
fireflies dance in those spoiled eyes,
and there is no doubt in my mind that I have tamed you.
So when we have our moments of redemption,
when I see nothing but us in those eyes,
and you see nothing but the same in mine...
when you tremble to hold inside the amazement...
the world shatters around us, but our reactions are submissive...
I want you to remember what happens
every time you look at me.
