When You Know God

When you come to know God for Who He really is
Then you'll know yourself for who you really are
God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself
There's no distance to where He can't reach your heart
He speaks through His Word by the Holy Spirit
If you read it with a heart that's sincere
You will find yourself hungering for more and more
And to God you'll be drawing much nearer

Pray for a hunger and a thirst for righteousness
This is a prayer that God loves to answer
For the truths found therein can bring you to Salvation
And praise God for the blessings that are found there
Prepare the soil of your heart today to believe
And have faith as your incubator
Your soul will spring forth with an eruption of praise
As well your love for God's Word will grow greater

Before you know it your life will find change
For our God loves to bring transformation
He will always bless truth to a hungering heart
That has repentance of sin as its station
Take great pains to seek ye the Lord
It will be a sure medicine for your soul
May the Word of God find a Hallelujah in you
When you put your life under His control...

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
