-- Frank C Yue
When you half-breath you half-live only!
Certainly, that's not the way to breathe correctly.
Zhuangzi, a Chinese sage in the 4th century,
Said the "Perfectly Heathy Man" breathed Energy
Deeply, drawing it down to the heels, the extremities
While the public breathed to the throat solely.
But with shallow breathing
You're simply not maximizing
Vital oxygen and nutrients inputs to your whole body!
Short of breath, you're moody and short of energy.
In the long run, it curtails your longevity,
Up to a hundred years old you won't be living.
When babies are adults sleep their bellies are moving.
This is the natural "Abdominal Breathing".
So, just breathe in softly, slowly, evenly
Through the nose; fill up first your lungs.
Then extend your diaphragm, bulging up the abdomen.
If you wish, hold the breath for a few seconds leisurely.
Now, exhale through a narrow gap in the mouth slowly,
Softly, evenly and quietly
Whilst tensing the core muscles and imagine pressing
Your belly button against the spine.
When exhaling and inhaling
You should empty your mind of myriad thoughts.
Three times a day do the Abdominal Breathing,
Each session 10 minutes should be lasting.
Do this for a month consistently,
Once in the morning, afternoon and evening.
You'll find palpable improvement in your health
With a highly effective body immunity.
