Ananda's*pocket was empty
and he was hungry and thirsty
the train soon came to a lunch halt
where the meal seemed tasty and hot
the rich uncouth man next to him
began eating.and on a whim
asked: 'Young man, what about your lunch? '
Ananda kept.mum on a hunch
' Oh, you don't have money, so sad.
lazy young men, it is so bad,
don't work; but want lunch on.platter.'
the.man continued his chatter
not to get involved, in.chit-chat
on platform bench, Ananda.sat
waiting for the train to resume
and for idle time to consume
out of the blue, huffing, puffing
a man with.packet came.running
offered hot lunch to Ananda
then in brief, explained his funda:
In my dream, Lord Ram ordered me
'go out when train comes, then you see
a man who needs water and food.
Just do.as I said.and be good.'
' I feel honored by.your presence.
I could find you from a distance.
Kindly partake this humble meal,
This divine pleasure, let me feel.'
