When The Spirit Rains Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

When The Spirit Rains

When the Spirit rains
Ecstasy is an understatement
The mystery of the spiritual realm is beyond our comprehension
The taste of the Spirit is both madness and bliss
The illumination of our body, mind and soul is the ultimate freedom
Enlightenment is not knowledge, it is awareness
When the Spirit rains, I am transformed into a lush wilderness
My body, mind and soul are thrown into a hypnotic state of bliss
Encapsulated with a fullness of life
My heart is a warm glow of happiness
The substance of my being is alive and pulsating
Like a flame, I am glowing with the sacred Light
This is the reason I chase after Silence
Silence is the Charm and the Divine Manifestation
Like liquid happiness, life becomes a glass of the best wine
But I am not intoxicated, I am just blessed
Basking in the glory of the Spirit
Nourishes the Soul, empowering the Body and Mind
This is the sacred shower of Living Water
But I cannot sustain this moment for long
It is beyond our world
Like a season of plenty, it passes as soon as it appeared
It is a glorious moment, a blessed moment
My words cannot describe it
Only a poem can come close to it, capturing some of its glory
When the Spirit rains, Spirit Poetry is born
Thank you
