I had a much older stepson who had Asperger's Syndrome, another disability with a wide range of behavioral symptoms. He lives in a 'group home' now, as he cannot live independently. ;) bri

He is in a school class which has one other 'autistic' and an aide helps them to fit with the non-autistic students. Some members of the 'spectrum' have much more disabling symptoms.

Let me read again. My 8 yr. old, only, grandchild is 'part of' the 'Autism Spectrum'; his autism is perhaps not noticeable to most (I only met him when he was nearly 1 yr. old.
