When That Chance Has Gone. Poem by David Boyce

When That Chance Has Gone.

When that chance has gone.

Take pride in what you’re doing,
To make yourself advance,
You need to learn from lessons,
Rather than have a second chance.

Use your own initiative,
Be prepared to make a sacrifice,
Listen to those around you,
When they are giving you good advice.

Use your own intuition,
And react when you feel it’s wrong,
Because you may get upset,
When that chance has gone.

Try to be independent,
And learn the errors of your ways,
Live your life and prosper,
Until your dying days.
