Rebecca, your comments are so refreshing and invigorating- -we need to bottle them! ! ! ! ! Thank you, dear friend!
This poem has a special attraction that I wanted to visit it for second time. It is a great philosophical poem on life and death. Though this poem is in concise yet it expresses much about soul. Thanks again dear madam.
What a pleasing thing to hear- -the best honor a writer can get is people wanting to reread their works! ! ! Thank you so much, kind sir! ! !
Hi I have commented on this poem, let me say that I love it. Great ideas, deep spiritual understanding. I love it. Mohabeer Beeharry

This is a great write, and for those who believes, carries a great amount of love, understanding and vision beautiful.. Mohabeer Beeharry
Yes, I suppose that if one doesn't have any faith other than in oneself, this poem would be a shovelful of meaningless words... Thank you for your kind comment.
When my earthly body dies I hope my soul unchained flies flies with God's sparrows into the sunrise..........so impressive lines those expresses the intensity of death and soul's journey. Brilliant poem brilliantly presented.10 .
Thank you for revisiting this piece and finding it as intense as the first time your read it. That's what I call positive feedback.
A heavenly perspective that in both inspirational and spiritual. Excellently awakening the desire for eternity! Well done my friend!
Thank you, Howard- I think this poem was the most enjoyable one for me to write- the words just flowed through my heart and onto the page. I wish I could do that all the time! I must have been highly motivated.
Our earthly bodies die one day is sure and as soul is immortal it will fly to God. Soul will take next birth as per his karma. It won't be possible as per our wish but we hope for eternity.... when I have seen on earth all that eyes may see I hope I flee into eternity. Beautifully crafted. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for reading so many of my poems and finding things to point out about them that you like. That helps a lot! !
Whether a prayer, meditation or beautiful poem, perhaps all three, the above words you have written will resonate within all who read them with a hope that our futures are not tied only to this earthy sphere but also to the spiritual realm where we will know true freedom. An uplifting and powerful message of faith. Roaring with the grizzly, what a great line.
Thank you, Captain- what a beautiful and generous comment! I wanted to put down all the things that scare me on this earth- -like mountain climbing, swimming in deep water or where seaweed grows high and thick, and sky-diving and para-sailing- -and do them fearlessly, joyously. I am scared witless of bears- -childhood memory of a night on Mount Misery- so it would be cool to stand up against a grizzly and roar right back at him! ! !
A beautiful poem that soars the spirit. What an experience to exit the body when one dies and to be so much part of the magic and beauty of this earth. A whopping ten and straight into my favourites.
Oh, I hope we can explore this world after we die! ! ! What a wonder it would be to see these things from a perspective of eternity! ! ! Thank you for that whopping 10- - you made me giggle- -and for putting this into your favorites- -that, my dear, means a great deal to me! ! !
hey, susan! what will it be like? what will greet us? do you know the great divorce by c.s. lewis? or return from tomorrow by george ritchie? - this latter is a retelling of what this doctor saw when he was clinically dead; his story was the inspiration, if i recall correctly, for moody's life after life. i mostly have questions (not fears though) as in this i wrote to my dad some months after his passing Dad we have your ashes- but where are you? may we hear his well done, glen
No, I haven't read those particular things by those two men. I think your poem to your Father caught the fears and loves and hopes of those left behind. Thank you for reading my piece
An admirable and real writer - that's you, Susan. Beautiful poem written with spiritual insight. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Chinedu, for reading and commenting on so many of my poems today. I hope you found it a valuable use of your time. Now get back to writing those stirring poems of yours.
That's sterling penning. Death is not scary if faith is strong. A merging into eternity is desirable after a certain time on earth. An unchained n uninhibited expression. A sense of liberation can be felt in this gem of a piece. A sure 10.
I like the way you put that- -a merging into eternity- -not dying but living on. That's why I enjoy you reading and commenting on my poems- -you delve deep and come up with shining eyes and show me the pearls you find! ! ! Yes! ! You caught it! ! ! That unchained aspect which was the powering my pen. Thank you for reading this and for the 10!
When my earthly body dies I hope my soul unchained flies flies with God's sparrows into the sunrise . roams with the cheetah and roars with the grizzly and when I have seen on earth all that eyes may see I hope I flee into eternity.- - - - - - Wow- -what beauty in this little poem ! ! Death is not gloomy. It liberates.- - Soul unchained flies with God's sparrows to sunlight.Another gem from Susan William's pen.
I am glad you like the idea of death being a joyous homecoming into eternity- you being the kind of soul who would fly with the angels side by side with a huge grin on your heart!
I love how you bring the different animals into this one, how different the world would look through their eyes also. nicely done. Annette
I am glad you enjoyed this poem, Annette. The animals tied the tercet together. :) Susan
Nice Tercet Susan. I like the idea of God's Sparrows...and then you quickly transition to the cheetah and the grizzly...a nice melange of God's creature. And a tercet! Well done.
Thank you, Pamela. It was fun to try a different style of poem. It was also a bit constraining. All in all it was a good experience. Looking at a few different forms but I guess I'll let the next one just flow the way it wants to!
Susan, this is absolutely spectacular. The imagery is very striking. At first, I thought of spirit guides, totem, animal guides. Then the spirit reveals itself to travel with the natural world, and not in a way that allows or enables nature to dictate to the spirit...and this makes yours a perfect vision of freedom. A perfect 10..
Hey, Mj! Glad you enjoyed the read cuz I certainly enjoyed writing a tercet and look forward to writing another one someday... and thank you for your kind words, my friend! And thank you for the 10! ! ! ! !
Wow! ! ! ! ! How Ever Beautifully Spoken! ! ! ! ! Wonderful Imagery! ! ! ! ! And I Second That! ! ! ! ! ! Hopes....knowing Your Beautiful Spirit/Heart! ! ! ! ! You Don't Have To Hope Or Worry! ! ! ! ! Thank You So Much For Sharing This! ! ! ! ! Many Many 10S! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! +++++++++
Thank you, dear Rebecca- - maybe we can go soaring together [but not yet! ! ! I have things I still need to do before stepping off the earth! ! ! ! ].
I hope, I flee into eternity.... this poem reaches the top at this point. A beautiful poem......5 stars.
