When It Comes Around (9/11) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

When It Comes Around (9/11)

Rating: 5.0

When it comes around
I tend to forget about it
Not realising that it has been x number of years ago
I have forgetten in the last five years
Because my focus been on another tragedy
When it comes around
I wonder if we got our revenge
Sure, we killed the head
But the body has re-emerged
All those bodies covered in dust
Makes me shed a tear
And for those who tried to save them
G-d bless them

All the dark moments of our life will always be remembered, touching our heart and mind. A wonderful poem. Perceptive and poignant.
