Deep and insightful is this metaphoric rendition of yours. A beautiful creation written with clarity of thought.
I get hurt when flowers are plucked by people, specially from other's garden. Thus your poem is a very good message.
I was sad in the third stanza only because the connection of bud was severed selfishly.
A wonderful poem! I too have written a poem on a similar theme. Please read my poem FLOWER VASE
It's very cruel to cut off a bud from the plant on the verge of its blooming. Generally such metaphor is used to pictures child abuse..what the cruel hands of man nip in the bud ranks to God dear
Flowers goes to flower vases of drawing rooms No fragrance, plastic like, for private use, costly. The poem innocence crushed reflects the truth. And ROSE is the apt person to write about it.
Cruelty does happen in life, whether we wish it or not, visible and invisible the brilliant poem of the golden pen of the Great poetess tells us here such occurrence Reading this poem and rereading this gem, tears keep rolling from my eyes. Life on earth is not always balanced and honest. many times the strongest crushes the weakest, just like that,5 stars full vote! This gem from the great Poetess goes to MyPoemList. Thank you so much for sharing
We see such a tragic fate all around us! You have metaphorically narrated the sad fate of many young girls forced into marriage at a tender age.... or defiled by unfeeling men! A powerful metaphoric write, Rose Marie that deserves 5 stars
Before a flower is allowed to bloom to its full size, if it is nipped in the bud, it is unpardonable. Some cut buds and keep them in their vase as if their beauty is meant only for them. Both are acts of gross selfishness. The flower carries so much of beauty and fragrance once it is in bloom. But it is denied all such possibilities.
When innocence is crushed, a poet's heart bleeds to see it. Rose Marie Juan Austin is an example of such a poet, and this poem a proof. 'As if to command The beautiful bud To open and bloom just for him' - This is how a poet looks at a bud's innocence being crushed by 'powerful fingers'. 5 Stars*****!
A Wonderful Gift! ! ! Destroyed by someone! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
