When In America (Late Provision) Poem by Sophie Allyah

When In America (Late Provision)

At 2130 hours the truck arrived.
And yes, It's very late.
We stopped the operator of the crane
from unloading the cargoes and we
used the big machine to lift the goods.
We finished exactly at 2234 hours,
The discharging resumed,
Drank a diet coke and the rest is history.

And the vast heaven is clear and dark
The dust enveloped the surroundings
The sounds created by the heavy machineries
habituate the area
And the part of the lonely moon that
illuminated by the sun's radiant is at presence.
