When I Mix Colours Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

When I Mix Colours

Rating: 5.0

Since I paint too, I'll tell you the results
when I mix several colours with each other

red and blue makes a purple hue

red and white
makes pink true

blue and yellow
you will get a green flow

red and yellow
you'll get royal orange

white and black
makes grey for a change

red and green
becomes brown as you've never seen

brown and yellow
results in autumnal yellow

crimson red and titanium white
och such a happy tide

this must be the Indonesian National Flag

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

I don't pant but love good artistry. I liked your colorful mixtures, they were very interesting. Well written into a poem, with a lot of artistry. Enjoyed this colorful, fantastic, fantasy.

Interesting poem. For painting one must mix the right colors and for poetry one must chose the right words to bring the desired effects. You have worked with both.

A colourful poem. I felt it very interesting how you arrived at your target, your fatherland's national flag
