I write about life and living it; the real way
Like that of wealth, health and breathe
Or that of sorrow, of pain or of grief
And that of darkness or of sinister and death
Lines of sex, libido, compatibility and romance
That of conception, pregnancy and birth; yes
And lines of parenthood and responsible lives
Fill my poems
I write about childhood and sheer innocence
Create poems about the youth, vibrancy, and exuberance
Write pieces about adulthood, responsibility and excess
And about the aged, fragility and weak-bones
Masculine poems with lines of bloodshed and sweaty jobs
Feminine pieces with flashy thoughts and feeble lives
And gender-balanced poems with no biases
Surface in my works
I do write about politics, the diaspora; East and West blocs
About Africanism, the black race, and fighting dominance
About wars, refugees, segregation, apartheid, or racism
About same sex, equal rights, democracy, and liberation
Sometimes I'm pushed to write a lot
A lot about religion, nature, deity, theism and supremacy
About culture, usages, principles, customs and tradition
And I write a little about the after-life,
I also do write about food, nourishment, and health
About buildings, rooms, beds, sofas, carpet or even brooms
I feel like writing about pretty intangible things
Like using a broom, needle, blade, sand, urine or a the air
I ratify the animal kingdom, the jungle and survival tactics
I write about the soil, its parent material, catena and profile
On about the vegetation…. Forested, desert, semis, and all
And the planets: Mars, the beautiful Venus, and our earth
I even write about the economy: Socialism and Capitalism
I write of the new trend in modernism and urbanization
I write about technology, and the ‘New Media'
I write about the poles, equator, and latitudes and longitudes
I have poems on water bodies: Falls, rivers, seas and oceans
And on landforms: The peaks, ranges, canyons, and levees
Those on the environment, pollution,
Ant poems about the air-space: troposphere and atmosphere
I write about education, literacy, and enlightenment
Or affluence, standards of living, struggles, and poverty
Of Arts and aesthetics, literature and poetry
And I write and write and write and never get tired!
