When I Become King Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

When I Become King

When I become king
In my palace
A big expansive royal castle
Made of gigantic rooms
Long and wide corridors
Beautiful terraces
Manned by servants and soldiers
Lined with ornaments and precious stones
Diamond, gold, silver and bronze
I will be the lord and master of all
With royal sovereignty and authority
I can get and give you your heart desires
You can be whatever you ever dreamt of
Would you be mine?
Would you marry me?
Would you be for me and me only?
