When He Said
When He said follow me
I said "yes Lord I'm in"
I want to follow You
For what You did for sin
You took the full strength of it
And dealt it a "death blow"
Now I'm walking in your Light
For You wash white as snow!
And my step is joyful
For I have been redeemed
A lightness in those footsteps
Like I've never sinned it seems
And glory hallelujahs
Roll off this Ransomed tongue
For I have been saved... wonderfully saved
Saved by the Crucified One!
And what saved soul could not follow
A Saviour such as that
Who identified with His own creation
In coming down to where we're at
And showing forth such wondrous love
That He gave of His own life
Praise God what a Lord have I to follow
And may I the rest of my life!
