You gave me blue and I gave you yellow. Together we are simple green. You gave me.... Great expressions about give and take among people in the society. This reminds me of a couplet by Bihari, a 16th centuri Hindi Poet. It is about Hindu God Krishna and her beloved Radha. It says that when the shadow of yellow complexioned Radha falls on Blue complexioned Krishna, the colour of Lord Krishna turns from blue to green. Here is the original couplet: मेरी भववाधा हरौ, राधा नागरि सोय। जा तन की झाँई परे स्याम हरित दुति होय।। (झाँई = छाया, स्याम = श्याम, दुति = द्युति = प्रकाश) राधा जी के पीले शरीर की छाया नीले कृष्ण पर पड़ने से वे हरे लगने लगते है।
