Before the date, Tortoise and others warmed,
While Elephant was warned for plotting ahead.
To plan is a natural course,
So Elephant muted its might,
And its kingdom diminished in sight.
Who else can pound the earth with majestic grace,
Dancing to nzogbu, nzogbu enyi mba enyi's rhythmic pace?
But after the gathering, Elephant faced more lies,
Accused of inciting others and opting out with closed eyes.
A weighty aftermath of refusal to be tied with a rope,
To a marriage reception of a clearly planned deception,
Where freedom's last breath would have sighed and died.
Yet Elephant's intentions were pure without a speck of fear,
It just refused to be gwo-gwo-gwo-ngwoed, deceived or misled;
Tied and taken to where it would have been fired and fried.
