When Doves Cry - Tribute To Prince Poem by Richard Wlodarski

When Doves Cry - Tribute To Prince

Rating: 5.0

When Doves Cry
Skipper may fly
At age seven
He's in heaven

When Doves Cry
Gazoo may fly
Huge Afro and small body
One day he'll be somebody

Purple Rain is falling
The Kid's misbehaving
The girls are chasing
He's orchestrating

Epilepsy
Makes him flashy
And damn noisy
Celebrity

His Purple Majesty
In his wondrous glory
In heels and dressed to kill
In the name of ladies' thrill

The Purple One
Having much fun
In blazing sun
Under the gun

Guitar drums and keyboards
Playing all for fans in hordes
Odd shaped guitars and high pitched voice
Made him an icon of one's choice

His Purple Majesty
Let Us Go Crazy
Way past 1999
As his star did so brightly shine

The High Priest of Pop devilishly flaunting
Explicit lyrics in his unique singing
The Prince of Funk His Royal Badness has died
In waters of Lake Tonawonga purified
