When Do We Change Our Mentality ? Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

When Do We Change Our Mentality ?

When do we change our mentality?
Linking death as a part of salvation
Ignoring birthday of departed beloved, rather
Managing feast in memory of ceased person
Celebrating death anniversary as religious norm
Definitely, no doubt waste of money and time.

Whatever you donate to priests
Will be available for departed ancestors
What a worse logic it is, indeed !
It is preprogrammed ritual game
To enrich high class without taking pain.

In the name of spiritual gain
Anyone can exploit and misuse you
Need to careful with all of them.
The world itself drenched with
Rain of religious hypocrisy.

Feel love and compassion for
Disabled and suffering people
They are persons who really deserve
Your affection and donations.
Reproductive and creative, these are then.
