It's inspired to begin with the perspective of children. The fighting confines them, takes away their freedom to play, it will take their innocence too. The images of urban violence that follow show how threatened the children are but they cannot possibly grasp it. They stayed in my mind as I read in the next stanza about the complete collapse of society. Adults have unleashed this violence because they cannot solve their problems peacefully. If they survive the children will face a destroyed world. They deserve better, the future deserves better.

'Man gives up, lets death play in the streets, to his delight and shame' The final two lines, Nosheen, are as poignant as very few that I have read in a long time... The poem is sheer brillance..

A thoughtful poem. Only those who go through this situation feel the pinch of it, and we proudly call it a society...Yet another bold and powerful poem, Loved it Nosheenji.

Those who live in such horrible condition can only realise how tough life is. Nicely done. Have put your point smartly. Liked it.

This is exactly the situation when a war or a sudden rebellion erupts. Peaceful streets are turned into battlefields and even children don't dare to venture out! Gloom and silence descend down spreading a black pall over the lives of innocents! Everyday we are made to witness gruesome incidents! The horror of war with the entailing frustration is sketched in hoary shades!
