I dont own a house
but I have a home
I think that's o.k.
It's not mine
but it does the trick
when i need a place to sleep
I don't have a lover
but I know what love is
I think it's alright
It's mine
if I want it to be
But I'm stuck
somewhere between 1983
and a sunny place
nice and warm
I dont make any plans
but I have some ideas
That they say
won't get me no where
unless
I have a riding lawnmower
and a swimming pool
to drown in
I don't have cancer
but I have a disease
It's not too bad
but it does the trick
somewhere in my belly
and patio furniture
and tough love
unless
I can forget
ever growing up.
