The comment on this poem by the poet Denis Mair was the inspiration for the poems 'Curtains Drawn Hide Unseen Shadows Cast In Life' and 'Empath Can Stare Into Future Face', by the poet Terence George Craddock.

To me this reads as a memorial to lost edifices that were built in the minds of empaths and creatives while journeying through life. They walk between worlds full of walls. Their fate makes me think of the 'mute, inglorious Millton' in ELEGY WRITTEN IN A COUNTRY CHURCHYARD.

p1 'They walk between worlds full of walls' empaths have differing degrees of insight, differing degrees of certainty extending to often to absolute certainty, absolute knowing, differing gifts need differing walls erected to protect viewer and viewed;

p2 an empath can stare into the face of friend or stranger and know words spoken in truth or false, knows when friend or stranger even believes words spoken but words ring with no truth, words that can never be realized;

p3 meetings events spoken of ideas aspirations dreams spoken of will never be, an empath can instant know with future time absolute certainty, an empath must erect built protective walls in mind to creative walk while journeying through life
