When Am I Not Young? Poem by Raghurama Raju

When Am I Not Young?

Rating: 5.0

As a child, I was too young
to be called young!
But my father was young!
And my mother was young!
My uncles and aunts were young!

When I became young,
Naturally, I was young!

At fifty,I was no longer young!
But my son grew young,
And my daughter grew young!

At seventy, I willnot at all be young,
But, my grandson grows young!
And my granddaughter grows young!

I know, being young
Is a beautiful feeling!
But living among the young
is also just like being young!

Then, tell me, you young!
When am Inot young?

When Am I Not Young?
