When A Member Of A Family
When a member of a family
Is finally laid to rest
We have our grieving moments
Of when we saw them at their best
The many times of laughter
And of the sorrow in their lives
A collection of those memories
Are our treasures realized
But death is not the final end
For we know of a better way
When we'll be united with loved ones forever
In the land that's fairer than day
Death is but an instant transition
For because of the Resurrection
We'll trade these worn out bodies in
For one of glorified perfection
The eyes of faith can see beyond
What we just now can see
And in that blessed hope rejoice
Of the thought of eternity
When gathered around the throne of grace
In a family reunion fashion
With no more remembrance of former things
It's just like death never happened!
So grieve I will with gratitude
Of those memories with a loved one here
But there's a deep rejoicing in my heart
That I'll be seeing them over there
So thank you heavenly Father for
This special memorable time
Your love has triggered once again
Thiswalk down memory's lane!
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
