When I look at the happy children at play, Boisterously frolicking here and there, I wish to join them, not as what I am now, But as a child that I was, fifty years yore. Unaware they are, of what they will miss, These golden moments, a lifetime bliss. OOOH THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I would love to do too good job keep sharing!

@Cassandra Jasmine, Thanks a lot for your appreciative, elaborate comments on my poem. Glad to know you watch your grandparents so closely when they take a stroll. I am amazed to see how obsessed you are with your pets. Your love for your pets is ubiquitous!

Wow, such memories! The second stanza: 'When I see an old couple walk along, Hand in hand, pausing here and there, I feel like joining them, listen to them, Accompany them up to a segment or two, And patiently hear their retrieved stories Of wisdom and experience gained from life.' deeply reminds me of my own grandparents when we go out on walks. They stop every so often to admire the simple pleasures of life; whether it be a delicate rose, or perhaps a small chickadee, bursting out in song. I so loved the second-to-last stanza. Somehow, it reminded me of puppies; just born a week or two and starting to tumble about - they are not yet aware that they will be soon leaving their mother and parting, and such innocence; pulling each other's ears and tails, and whining for their mother's attention. Great write!
