What Value We Put
What value we put on a few pieces of paper
During our life down here
As evidences of our earth's tenure
And we hold them very dear
You know them all as your acquaintances
Your wallet has felt their touch
Birth certificate...licence and health cards
We treasure them very much
We would be lost without them
In fact we can get a fine
If we cannot prove that we have a licence
If a policeman were to stop us sometime
Well just imagine the worth of the Bible
Our authority when it comes to faith facts
We can point to many reference marks
As to when we made our first faith act
And God being our Witness Hallelujah!
We know that for sure without a doubt
That day of His witness to our so great Salvation
When our liberated soul gave out a shout
Our paperwork is divinely inspired
Every word written by Holy men
Authorized and authenticated by the Holy Spirit
In Jesus name amen!
The Spirit has sealed my faith's transaction
And forever He will live within
There's no possibility of denying that fact
As God's Word says I'm safe in Him
You might lose some of your earthly documents
To prove your existence down here
But as far as my heavenly tenure is concerened
God's Word abides forever! ! !
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
